LOOK LOOK LOOK!
Grancer has reached a major milestone. We (and by ‘we,’ I mean me) have had over 100,000 visitors to this blog!
That is bonkers.
How am I going to write 100,000 holiday cards?!?! I say that because I feel like you guys are all my friends. You have to be my friends, otherwise I am a freak for sharing such personal thoughts and images with a bunch of strangers.
So friends (we are all friends, right?)…
Yes, 100,000 of you have visited my page, but know this- if each of you reached out to me individually to ask me for advice about your cancer, or how to help someone you know who has cancer, I would totally ignore my kids and write back to you.
This blog is real and vitally important to me. I am not some made-up person who writes because someone pays me (though feel free to hook me up with a publisher who wants to pay me).
You guys accept me for the spaz that I am and for that I am incredibly grateful.
But wait, I have more to say!
Being me wasn’t easy before cancer. Add cancer and suddenly it is much harder.
Then comes the healing power of Grancer. The fact that I know I am helping people because I can see it in the numbers… Have you any idea how much that helps me?
It’s stunning.
You guys are my Prozac (I switched to Effexor, ’cause it is the only antidepressant that works with Tamoxifen). Knowing you are all reading and sharing makes me feel like I am wrapped in a virtual warm blanket of love and support.
So send me all your addresses so I can get started on mailing those 100,000 holiday cards.
PSYCHE! I can’t afford $4.5K in stamps.
Just know that by reading my blog, you are helping keep my stress down and my wits about me which, in turn, is definitely lowering my chance of recurrence.
For keeping me cancer-free, I am forever thankful and humbled.
LOVE,
Grace
This is me giving you a big kiss and hug!!!!!!

Grace, you don’t know me but I recognized your name from the local doula groups and we have some mutual friends. I’ve been following along since just before your treatment and cheering you on. Xoxo
